Indication
Constipation, Intestinal inflammation, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Ulcerative colitis & Piles.
Administration
Its Usually typically administered orally in the form of powder or granules.
The powder or granules are mixed with water and consumed once or twice per day.It is important to take ispaghula husk + sonapata with plenty of fluids, as it can cause dehydration if not taken with enough water.
Adult Dose
Take 1 sachet or 4 gm powder with 150-200 ml water 1-2 times per day.
Child Dose
6-12 years: 1/2 to 1 sachet or 2-4 gm powder with 150-200 ml water, 1-2 times per day.
Under 6 years old: As directed by the physician. 1/2 sachet or 2 gm powder with 150-200 ml water, 1-2 times per day.
Renal Dose
It is generally considered safe for use in people with renal disease. Patients with kidney disease, should be consult with doctor before using it.
Contraindication
People with intestinal obstruction should avoid using ispaghula husk and sonapata.
People suffering from severe dehydration should avoid using ispaghula husk + sonapata.
Electrolyte imbalance: People suffering from electrolyte imbalance should avoid using ispaghula husk + sonapata.
Hypersensitivity to ispaghula husk or sonapata: People who are allergic to ispaghula husk or sonapata should avoid using it.

hyroid hormones: Ispaghula husk + sonapata can decrease the absorption of thyroid hormones. This can lead to decreased levels of thyroid hormones in the blood and a decreased effect of the medication.
Antidepressants: Ispaghula husk + sonapata can decrease the absorption of antidepressants. This can lead to decreased levels of antidepressants in the blood and a decreased effect of the medication.
Anticonvulsants: Ispaghula husk + sonapata can decrease the absorption of anticonvulsants. This can lead to decreased levels of anticonvulsants in the blood and a decreased effect of the medication.
Antipsychotics: Ispaghula husk + sonapata can decrease the absorption of antipsychotics. This can lead to decreased levels of antipsychotics in the blood and a decreased effect of the medication.
